Daryn Reeder M.S., CCC-SLP
Hi! I’m Daryn, a certified speech-language pathologist and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). I currently maintain active speech-language pathology licenses in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Texas.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Temple University and continued my education at Loyola University Maryland, where I earned my Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults across a variety of settings, including private clinics, the Maryland School for the Deaf, and rehabilitation hospitals. I have experience supporting individuals with a wide range of communication needs, including complex communication and medical needs. I have also received additional training in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Gestalt Language Processing (GLP), and Myofunctional Therapy.
My goal is to help each client become a confident, effective communicator while recognizing and celebrating their individual strengths. I utilize an evidence-based, client-centered, and strengths-based approach, with therapy tailored to each individual’s unique communication style, needs, and goals. I believe therapy should be meaningful and functional, which is why I develop treatment plans collaboratively with families and caregivers to provide holistic, individualized support that carries over into everyday life.
I strive to create a supportive and empowering environment where clients feel heard, respected, and confident in their ability to communicate. I am passionate about helping my clients build confidence, and develop communication skills that support them in the settings and activities that matter most to them.
