More Information
-
Daryn Reeder Speech & Language Therapy is NOT accepting insurance at this time. I will provide monthly superbills for families to submit to their insurance for potential reimbursement. I am happy to work with you and your insurance company to support the reimbursement process as much as possible.
-
Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation.
-
During the phone consultation, I will conduct a brief interview to assess how to best meet your child's needs. With expertise in working with diverse populations, I understand the importance of ensuring a good fit between the family and the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to achieve intervention goals.
If needed, I can provide helpful resources during this complimentary session.

You can reach me anytime via our contact page or email dnr@darynreederspeech.com. I aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.

This service is designed to meet the unique needs of your family and client. This may include parent or caregiver AAC training and coaching, educational meetings with the school team, and advocacy during IEP meetings to promote the use of AAC.
-
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) encompasses a variety of tools designed to help individuals communicate independently across different environments. AAC options can include:
Gestures: Non-verbal methods of communication.
Low-Tech Solutions: Tools like picture communication boards and visual aids.
Mid-Tech Devices: Such as "talking buttons" that produce speech.
High-Tech Solutions: Advanced speech-generating devices.
AAC serves two purposes: it is considered augmentative when it supplements existing speech and alternative when it replaces speech altogether.
-
If your child is a "late talker," non-speaking, Autistic, hasDown Syndrome, a motor speech disorder or struggles with communication, I am here to help. If there’s a gap between your child's receptive language (understanding) and expressive language (output), they may benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
I can assess your child's needs and trial a variety of AAC devices, ranging from low-tech options to advanced speech-generating devices. If appropriate, I can complete a comprehensive evaluation and provide step-by-step guidance for families on how to secure funding through insurance.
